Privacy
Everything runs in your browser: what you type or paste is processed by JavaScript on your device, not on a server. The first time you use it, an open-source library is downloaded from the jsDelivr CDN; your input is still processed locally. If you are signed out, nothing is saved at all. If you sign in with Google, your inputs and settings are saved privately to your account so they sync across devices.
Frequently asked questions
Is the QR Code Generator free?
Yes. QR Code Generator is completely free with no sign-up, no usage limits and no watermarks.
Is my data private?
Yes. The QR Code Generator processes everything in your browser. Signed out, nothing is saved; signed in, your inputs sync privately to your own account.
Do these QR codes expire?
No. They are static QR codes: the content is encoded directly in the pattern, so there is no redirect service that can go down.
Which error correction level should I use?
M (15%) is a good default. Use Q or H if the code will be printed small, on rough surfaces, or with a logo covering part of it.
Does it work on my phone?
Yes. Toolbench runs in any modern browser on desktop, tablet or phone — there is nothing to install.
